What are Hanteo and Gaon Chart? Hanteo and Gaon charts are Korean album sales ranking sites. Music stores count the amount of physical albums that are sold, which are sent to Hanteo and Gaon for the ranking. You can check the real-time ranking on their website. Hanteo and Gaon charts are then calculated and put to use for the year-end report and also for the annual awards ceremonies qualifications.

What is a Daesang and why does it matter? The most important award for South Korea’s annual awards ceremonies is the Daesang.
